Toning the Lith Print

The toning of the print is useful not only for the aesthetic reasons, but for archival reasons as well. Toning gives strange results when compared to a normal print. Selenium turned the forte picture brown, gold made the Osteospemum loose detail.

Toners Used with the Lith Prints

Fotospeed - Variable Sepia Toner Kit
Fotospeed - Selenium Toner
Fotospeed - Gold toner

Experimentation is the key with toning lith prints, the only way to learn is to do it. I have very little experience with the Lith process, but am already hooked.

This web site will be updated regulaly as I complete my experiments with different papers, developers and toners, so come back soon.
